In the first weeks of lockdown when, unable to go to work, it seemed we had almost infinite time to fill. The Blizzard started running online quizzes, partly to help fund our lockdown project, The Squall, which was aimed at providing work for struggling freelances, but mainly just to give ourselves something to do on a Monday evening. We made the questions deliberately hard – this is The Blizzard, after all – and billed them as the ultimate football quiz. This book is a by-product of those nights on Twitter and Facebook Live.
